The leaf carries a mechanism built of concentric circular elements gathered about a central hub, with a horizontal axle running through the rings and two short uprights rising from the top. Nearby are fainter circular and rectangular figures, including small boxed panels, that are only barely legible. The whole is drawn in light reddish chalk and is partly obscured.

Concentric rings on a central axle

Faint rectangular panels
Toward the upper part of the sheet are two faint rectangular boxes with hatched or dotted interiors, together with other circular outlines. These are only scarcely visible and their function is not clear from the leaf.
