Three horses praised for neck, head and hindquarters; a dated note that Catelina came
Leonardo jots descriptions of particular horses he has seen: Messer Mariolo's Florentine 'Morel', a big horse with a fine neck and a very fine head; the falconer's white cob with fine hindquarters, kept at the Porta Comasina; and the big horse of the Chermonino belonging to Signor Giulio. A separate line records that Catelina came on 16 July 1493. Above the notes is an ink sketch of a fluted, shell-form bowl or capital set on a tapering stem.

Descriptions of three horses and their good points
Leonardo praises Messer Mariolo's Florentine 'Morel', a big horse with a fine neck and a very fine head, and the falconer's white cob for its fine hindquarters, noting it stays at the Porta Comasina. A further note records the big horse of the Chermonino belonging to Signor Giulio.
Sketch of a fluted bowl or capital on a stem
At the top of the leaf is a pen drawing of a fluted, shell-like bowl with two scrolled rings, rising on a tapering pedestal or stem. It reads as a capital or basin rather than as a figure.
Dated memorandum: Catelina came, 16 July 1493
A separate inverted line records that Catelina came on the 16th day of July 1493, echoing the same July date given with the horse notes.
