Draperies that clothe figures (chapters 529–535)
The opening entries treat how cloth clothes the figure: the draperies that dress figures, their broken or firm manner, clothing figures with grace, the folds of garments, and the distinction between flying and stationary draperies. They frame drapery as a core problem of pictorial practice.
The nature of folds and the eye that sees them (chapters 536–544)
Later entries address the folds themselves: opinions that folds are of three natures, how folds should be given to cloth, the few folds of drapery, folds seen foreshortened, and the eye that perceives the folds surrounding the human body. The sequence closes simply with 'On folds' at folio 171.
