Lustre distinguished from light on white and black
The rubrics distinguish lustre from light, note that lustre generated on a white field is of little power, and treat the sizes of lustres on polished bodies. They ask which bodies show light without lustre and which show lustre without a luminous part.
Reflexes, and sight in bright and dark places
Entries treat the shadow interposed between incident and reflected light, where the reflex is darkest, and why reflexes are barely seen in universal light. Others concern the eye moving between bright and dark places, the lighting that makes muscles evident, and the shadows and lights of cities and of men pressed together in battle.
