This sheet is filled almost entirely with Leonardo's mirror-written Italian, arranged in short chapters separated by centred one-word headings and horizontal rules. Faint construction lines show through from the reverse, but the page itself carries no drawn figure. It continues the light-and-shadow discourse of the surrounding folios of Manuscript A, which bears directly on the practice of painting. None of the text is transcribed in this bundle, and the full body of writing remains untranscribed here.
