Drawn on blue-grey prepared paper, the sheet studies weapon heads together with the hardware that fixes them to their shafts: sockets, collars, langets, hooked bill-heads, crescent elements, and staple- or ring-and-chain fittings. Many designs pair an ornamental blade with a detailed mount, examining how the head is riveted or clamped to the haft. Polearm heads and shaft mounts
The sheet works through a range of pole-arm heads — leaf blades, hooked bill-hooks, and crescent-bladed forms — each attached to a socketed collar or langeted mount. Several drawings isolate the joint where head meets shaft, showing rivets, clamps, and staple fittings.
Decorative blade profiles
Many of the blades are given ornamental silhouettes — foliate cusps, waved edges, and pierced lattice openings — so that the arms read as decorative or ceremonial designs. A ring-and-chain element hangs at the right margin.
