Flyleaf with shelf-mark E and catalogue slip
Institut de France cataloguing note facing the notebook's lettered guard leaf
An opening of the notebook's front matter: a modern Institut de France cataloguing slip on the left, and on the right the guard leaf bearing the manuscript's shelf-letter E above a faded Latin inscription and a large penned X, where further untranscribed text is present.
