Four red-chalk sketches examine the corner joints and framing of a cart seen from several angles. One caption explains a method of fixing the cart's side-rail (scala) onto its axle, while a separate line gives a proportional rule placing the centre of an 'eye' one-eighth of a b outside the abacus.
