Cart for transporting bombards; harness fittings
Red-chalk study of a bombard-carriage with a detail of its harness
Drawn in red chalk, the sheet shows a wheeled carriage designed to transport bombards, its main structure sketched at an angle across the page. A separate detail at the upper left works out the harness fittings that couple the cart to its draught. The study belongs to a run of pages in the notebook exploring carts, tackle and harness.

Carriage for transporting bombards
The principal drawing is a wheeled cart built to carry bombards. Its frame, wheels and coupling members are laid out to show how the heavy gun would be moved.
Detail of the harness fittings
At the upper left a separate sketch enlarges the harness fittings — the buckles and straps by which the cart is coupled to what draws it.
