Cubic multiplication and a doubling series
Numerical working on ratios carried to the cube
Faint pencil jottings work out numerical ratios, headed by the note "Multiplicasi cubicamente" (it is multiplied cubically). Beneath it runs the geometric doubling series 1, 2, 4, 8 together with other numerals grouped by brackets. The whole page is written lightly in pencil, with several figures and marks fainter than the transcribed core.

"It is multiplied cubically" and the series 1, 2, 4, 8
The note "Multiplicasi cubicamente" (it is multiplied cubically) captions a set of numerical values, including a run of the powers of two written out as 1, 2, 4, 8. The paired columns of small numbers explore how a ratio behaves when raised, an arithmetic counterpart to the geometrical idea of triplicate ratio.
