The sheet bears a pen-and-ink study of an ageing man's head seen in profile and turned to the right, with abundant curling hair, a furrowed brow, and a strongly projecting nose and lips. Denser hatching below suggests the shoulders and possibly a second, fainter head study at the left. The drawing carries the collection stamp of the Uffizi print room at the lower right.
