A faint, softly modelled face turned to the left
The sheet bears a single head seen in profile and turned to the viewer's left, drawn on blue-grey prepared paper and heightened with touches of white. The image is much rubbed and faded, so that only the outline of the brow, nose, lips and chin and the soft modelling of the cheek remain clearly legible. No transcribed text accompanies the drawing.

A youthful face is shown in strict profile, turned to the left, with the forehead, straight nose, parted lips and rounded chin lightly indicated. White heightening picks out the ridge of the nose and the highlight of the cheek against the blue ground. Much of the surface is worn, leaving the features ghostly and indistinct.
