Caricature busts with heavy jaws, caps, and quilted headdresses
A plate of four grotesque head studies numbered 13 to 16, each a caricatured bust seen in profile. The heads show exaggerated jaws, thick necks, and coarse features, several set off by close caps, coifs, or a scaled quilted headdress. They continue the series of 'teste grottesche' exploring extremes of physiognomy. No accompanying text is transcribed for this sheet.

Curly-haired man with jutting lip (study 13)
A man with dense curling hair faces right, his lower lip and tongue thrust forward and his neck heavily muscled. The bust is finished down to a bare, sinewy shoulder.
Aged head in banded coif (study 14)
An elderly profile faces left, wearing a close coif or cap gathered into a topknot with a hanging tie. The sunken mouth and wrinkled cheek are drawn with fine hatching, the bust continuing to a clothed shoulder.
Heavy-featured man in flat cap (study 15)
A broad, coarse face faces left beneath a wide flat cap, with a bulbous nose and thick lips. The rounded shoulders and drapery are lightly indicated below.
Long-nosed head in quilted headgear (study 16)
A wrinkled face faces right below a tall scaled or quilted headdress bound by a strap across the brow. The long nose, deep facial creases, and sagging neck are carefully modeled.
