Rearing horse and winged combatant figures
Sheet of martial and allegorical red-ink studies
A crowded sheet of red-ink figure studies, mostly martial and allegorical. At the upper left a horse rears over a fallen, writhing figure; at the upper right a winged figure brandishes a sword and holds a round shield above a prostrate victim; below, winged putti or angels move among curling clouds, with fainter groups sketched at the lower left. An old ink inscription in a later hand runs along the lower edge and is not transcribed here.

Rearing horse over a fallen figure
At the upper left a horse rears steeply, its forelegs raised over a twisting figure that falls beneath it. The pairing repeats the horse-and-victim motif seen elsewhere on these sheets.
Winged combatant with sword and shield
At the upper right a winged figure lunges downward, sword raised overhead and a decorated round shield held forward, above a figure sprawled on the ground. Lower on the sheet smaller winged figures move among curling clouds.
