Older man in strict profile
The left-hand head is a thickset older man seen in strict profile facing left. His brow is drawn together over a frowning eye and his lips are pressed downward, giving a severe, brooding look. Wavy hair frames the face and a short beard covers the jaw.
Young man in three-quarter view
The right-hand head is a younger man turned three-quarters toward the viewer with eyes cast down. Long hair falls to his shoulders and a soft beard shades his cheeks and chin. A pale collared shirt with a button at the throat is loosely indicated below.
