Faint Studies of a Horse in Motion and a Reclining Figure
Very light pen sketches on a stained, partly effaced sheet
Only very faint, partly effaced pen lines survive on this heavily stained sheet. At the center a sketchy quadruped, apparently a horse, seems to twist or plunge, its legs and neck indicated with a few nervous strokes. Near the lower edge a separate reclining or sprawled figure is lightly outlined. The drawing is too faint for its subject to be read with full certainty.

Faint horse in violent motion
A lightly drawn animal in the middle of the sheet, read as a horse, appears to rear or fall, its limbs and arched neck sketched in a few broken contours. Water-staining has obscured much of the figure so that its action can only be guessed.
Reclining figure at the lower edge
Along the bottom of the page faint lines describe a reclining or fallen human figure. The strokes are too light to determine the pose with confidence.
