A bust-length head of a young man is drawn in red chalk, turned in three-quarter view toward his left with the eyes softly lowered. An abundant mass of loose curling hair frames the face and falls about the neck, richly worked with looping strokes. The bare shoulders and the sweep of drapery below are only lightly indicated; a collector's stamp and an inventory number mark the lower part of the sheet, but no text accompanies the drawing.
