Page of Notes with Faint Sketch (verso)
Untranscribed mirror-script with faint marks and offset stains
The verso of the sheet of child studies carries about a dozen lines of Leonardo's mirror-script handwriting across the top, together with faint sketch marks at the upper right and reddish offset stains transferred from a facing page. The handwriting is not transcribed in this edition, so its content is not given here; further untranscribed text is present on the sheet. The lower part of the page is largely blank apart from staining.

Untranscribed notes and a faint sketch
A block of reversed handwriting fills the top of the page, but it is not transcribed and its subject cannot be read here. Faint marks at the upper right suggest a small unfinished sketch, while much of the sheet is taken up by offset stains transferred from another page.
