Two Male Heads in Profile
Two fragments on blue-grey prepared paper, heads facing opposite ways
Two small fragments of blue-grey prepared paper each bear a male head in profile. The fragment at left shows a younger head facing right, close-capped and with regular features, partly obscured by staining. The fragment at right shows an older, balding man facing left, his lined face, prominent brow, and slack cheek built up with careful hatching; a collector's monogram stamp sits in its lower corner. No transcribed text accompanies the drawings.

Young head facing right (left fragment)
The left fragment carries a youthful male head in profile turned to the right, the hair fitted close to the skull like a cap. The features are lightly modelled and the sheet is discoloured by brown staining across the lower face. It reads as a quick idealized profile study.
Aged man facing left (right fragment)
The right fragment shows an old, balding man in profile turned to the left, with a heavy brow, sunken cheek, and firm jaw. The head is worked up with dense parallel hatching that gives weight and shadow to the aged flesh. A monogram collector's stamp appears at the lower right of this fragment.
