A bald, elderly man is drawn in strict right profile on blue-grey paper, his head and shoulders filling the sheet. The modelling dwells on the aged features: the heavy brow, the deep folds around the mouth and jaw, the sunken cheek and the large ear. Sparse hair is indicated over the back of the skull, and short strokes suggest the collar of a garment at the shoulders. A collector's monogram stamp is at the lower right; no text accompanies the drawing.
