Head of a young woman in red chalk
Head inclined, with plaited hair and lowered eyes
In red chalk a young woman's head is drawn tilted and looking down, her hair drawn up and elaborately plaited above the brow with loose strands falling behind. The face is delicately modelled, the eyes nearly closed and the expression tranquil. A collector's monogram stamp is at the lower right; no text accompanies the drawing.

Inclined female head
The woman's head leans forward and to one side, the eyes lowered as if in reverie. Her hair is gathered and braided over the crown, with a woven plait crossing the head and soft locks escaping behind. The soft red-chalk modelling gives the face a gentle, idealised character.
