Figure Studies: Nude Reaching Toward a Seated Figure
Red-chalk sketches of a back-view nude, a draped figure, and fainter groups
The sheet holds several loosely connected figure studies in red chalk. At the upper right a nude seen from behind, one arm raised, leans and reaches down toward a crouching bearded figure; a taller draped figure stands more faintly at the left; and lighter, unfinished sketches of further figures are scattered across the lower half. No transcription accompanies this leaf.

Nude reaching toward a seated figure
A nude figure seen from the back raises one arm and bends toward a crouching, bearded figure at the lower right, the two linked by the reaching gesture. It is the most fully worked group on the sheet.
Draped standing figure
At the left a tall figure in long drapery is sketched in fainter chalk, the folds falling to the ground. The head and upper body are barely indicated.
Faint secondary sketches
The lower portion of the sheet carries several very light, unfinished figure sketches, hard to read against the paper. They appear to be quick trials rather than resolved studies.
