He claims that this way of obtaining rational cube roots was unknown before him. Three small grid-cube diagrams at the centre illustrate cubes and their subdivision, and further mirror-script calculations and a few faint sketches fill the sheet.

Cubes, dice and the fourth part of a larger cube
The reasoning is illustrated with cubes: 2/4 cubed yields eight 'dice,' each the capacity of a quarter-braccio cubed, and 1/4 is defined as a cube containing the fourth part of a larger cube. Three small grid-cubes are drawn at the centre of the sheet.
