Although catalogued as devoid of writing, the recto carries several pen sketches and no transcribed text. At the top is a perspective study of a stepped, vaulted structure drawn with hatched shading, with faint ruled construction lines running across the middle of the sheet. Lower down are studies of arches, a curve slung between supports, and a pair of vertically fluted columns.

Perspective study of a vaulted structure
The upper part of the sheet holds a rapid perspective sketch of a stepped, vaulted structure, its recessed bays and ceiling built up with fine hatching. Ruled lines running from it suggest the construction of the perspective.
Arches, a hanging curve and fluted columns
Toward the foot of the sheet Leonardo sketches paired rounded forms crowned by converging lines, a curve hanging between two supports, and a pair of vertically fluted columns. The group reads as studies of arches and their supports.
