Catapult engine, a spiked device, and a knot
A mounted wheeled engine, a radiating burst of shafts, and an interlaced knot; the word 'Dimmi.'
The sheet is cataloged among Leonardo's catapult studies, and its most striking figure is a large radiating burst of shafts drawn in ink near the center-bottom, above faint under-sketches. At the upper left a compact wheeled engine with a domed, finialed top sits on a low base, and just below it an interlaced knot is worked out in the artist's ornamental manner. The only transcribed writing is the single isolated word 'Dimmi.' ('Tell me.'); much of the rest of the leaf carries faint additional sketches (architectural cornices, small frames and ladders) that are not transcribed here.

Radiating burst of shafts
A dense, spiky star of straight bars radiates outward across the lower-center of the sheet, drawn boldly in ink. Its bundled, exploding form belongs to the military-engine studies (cataloged under catapults) that fill this part of the codex.
Mounted wheeled engine
At the upper left a small mechanism rises on a low wheeled or footed base, crowned by a rounded canopy with a projecting finial. It is drawn in careful ink detail, unlike the lighter sketches around it.
Interlaced knot
Below the mounted engine, at the left edge, an ornamental knot of looping interlaced bands is drawn, the kind of decorative interlace Leonardo repeatedly explored.
