The sheet survives in two fragments mounted together. The upper piece bears columns of monetary calculations reckoned in lire, soldi and denari, interspersed with working figures. The lower piece carries a geometric construction: a quadrant with lines radiating from one corner and an arc, accompanied by a note that one must first set the 'false position' of a slight curvature a b c.

Columns of monetary sums in lire, soldi and denari
A dense block of accounting figures set out with the marks for lire, soldi and denari, running down several columns with working numbers such as 1567, 0589, 5679 and 978. The foot of the block gathers running totals such as lire 2 soldi 17 denari and lire 4 soldi 13 denari.
Curve construction and the 'false position' of curvature a b c
A note attached to the quadrant-and-arc figure states that one must first set down the false (trial) position of a slight curvature a b c. It governs the drawn construction of radiating lines and an arc in the lower fragment.
