In red chalk, a mechanism is mounted on the flat upper surface of a large rectangular chest drawn in perspective: a tall vertical wheel and a smaller spoked wheel turn on a horizontal shaft, beside an upright post carrying a crank. Two enlarged detail studies at the left show a notched bearing block above a vertical spindle fitted with a disc-collar and a screw. The bundle's caption records only that the leaf was invisible before restoration and carries no writing; no text accompanies the drawing.

Wheeled mechanism on a large chest
A large vertical wheel and a smaller spoked wheel are carried on a horizontal shaft above the flat top of a big rectangular chest shown in perspective. An upright post with a crank rises beside them. The arrangement reads as a geared drive turning the wheels from the shaft.

At the far left two enlarged details are drawn: an open notched block seen in three-quarter view, and below it a vertical spindle carrying a disc-collar and a screw or worm. These read as component studies for the seating and drive of the main shaft.
