Sheet of mechanisms with a toothed wheel and pinion
Dense mechanical and geometric studies; only a single word was transcribed for this side
This side of the sheet is filled with small mechanical devices, cranks, gears and hydraulic-looking apparatus, together with geometric and compass constructions. The only text recorded for the folio is a single fragmentary word beside a partially toothed wheel and pinion drawn on the left margin. Much further untranscribed writing and many additional drawings are present on the leaf and are described here only from what is visible.

Partially toothed wheel and pinion
On the left margin a partially toothed wheel meshes with a pinion (rocchetto), accompanied by a single word of text. The rest of the sheet is crowded with cranks, small mechanisms and a large spiral-form device.
Geometric and compass constructions
A separate fragment carries geometric constructions with spheres, cones and triangles laid out with compass and straightedge, set among the mechanical studies.
