Grinding-Wheel Machines and a Line of Verse
Bench apparatus turned by a crank, smaller mechanisms, a compass arc, and a poetic line
The upper sheet shows two views of a bench-mounted circular wheel or disc — one lying flat on its stand, the other raised vertically and turned by a crank — an apparatus for grinding or polishing. Below are several smaller mechanical sketches, and at the right an arc struck with a compass. At the foot of the sheet runs a single line of verse: 'If your mind feeds on delight.'
