Book-keeping notes recording sums in Milanese pounds owed among named associates
This leaf carries double-entry book-keeping written in a Latin-Italian merchant's hand, recording credits and debits set against named associates. The entries cite ledger folio numbers (144, 46, 246, 186, 241, 96) and dates in August, with sums in pounds, soldi and denari. Names include Alessandro de Castiglione, D. Ambrogio di Homate, Angelus Gabriel, Polidoro de Ferraris, Donato de Comite, Antonio Morono and D. Pietro de Zaffaronis. On the image the writing shows only faintly, largely as offset from the recto.

Credits entered against Castiglione and Ambrogio di Homate
The left column lists items entered in credit: to Alessandro de Castiglione on folio 144 (£198 s.15, 9 August), a further item on 16 August (£117), and to D. Ambrogio di Homate on folio 46 (£422 s.11 d.6). Further credits are noted for Polidoro de Ferraris (folio 246, 23 August) on behalf of Donato de Comite, and for Antonio Morono (folio 186, 30 August).
Debit owed to Pietro de Zaffaronis
The right column records that a debit must be had, entered against D. Pietro de Zaffaronis on folio 96, dated 23 August, for £150, together with a further entry on folio 241 of £18 on the abovesaid date.
