Two fragments: an ornate column and mechanical apparatus
Catalogued as without writing; both scraps carry pen drawings
Two cut-out fragments on blue-grey mounts are drawn here, both catalogued as bearing no writing. Fragment (a), at the left, sets an ornate column with a decorated capital and a diamond-lattice shaft on a moulded base, beside a tall slender mechanical shaft fitted with brackets and an angled bar at its head. Fragment (b), at the right, shows an inclined apparatus built on a shaft with trestle-like legs pierced by rows of holes.

Ornate column with lattice shaft (a)
The left scrap draws a slender column: a decorated capital sits above a shaft ornamented with a diamond-lattice or cross-hatched pattern, carried on a moulded base. The treatment is decorative and architectural in character.
Shafted apparatus and trestle mount (a and b)
Beside the column a tall slender shaft carries brackets and an angled bar at its head, like a rod-mounted mechanism. Fragment (b) shows an inclined apparatus resting on trestle-like legs pierced with regular rows of holes, suggesting an adjustable stand or frame.
