Diving Apparatus, a Harbor Threat, and Machine Sketches
A diver's breathing device, gears and screws, and a ledger account with Panigarola
The sheet mixes clandestine underwater apparatus with small mechanical details and a bookkeeping entry. A diver's head fitted with a breathing device is drawn and captioned with instructions to fit a wineskin to the mouth so the secret is not seen, alongside a menacing note threatening to destroy a harbor within four hours. Further sketches show a bronze plug closed by a waxed screw, a gear released by pulling a nail, a cylindrical vessel stopped with a wax candle, and a large screw with an iron point. A Latin ledger account records a debt of Antonio Panigarola.

Diver's head with a breathing device
A head is drawn wearing a breathing apparatus for use underwater. The caption instructs the diver to fit the said wineskin (otre) to the mouth when in the sea, so that the secret is not seen.
Threat to destroy the harbor within four hours
A note in the right half declares 'I will destroy the harbor,' warning that if the addressees do not surrender within four hours they will go to the bottom. It links the diving gear to a scheme of clandestine naval attack.
Ledger account with Antonio Panigarola
A Latin bookkeeping entry records that Antonius Panigarola must give a sum on 2 March and must have it entered as a debit in the celestro (blue) ledger at folio 134 verso on the same day. The two sums are recorded as £4, s. 15, d. 2.
Bronze plug closed with a waxed screw
An apparatus with a stopper is to be made of cast bronze and closed with a waxed screw, so that it seals tight. The waxing keeps the threaded joint watertight.
Gear released by pulling a nail
A small gearing sketch is captioned that removing this nail lets the female part turn together with the male. The nail acts as a locking pin that couples or frees the two members.
Large screw with an iron point
A heavy screw is drawn with an iron point threaded like wood, so that it can be driven in. It sits among the other sealing and fastening details on the sheet.
