Machine sketches on a restored fragment the catalogue records as bare
Although the brief catalogue note records this recovered fragment as blank, the sheet in fact carries several mechanical pen sketches. At the left a screw stands vertically through a barrel on a stand, in the manner of a press or jack, while nearby a rectangular frame is studded with projecting pegs and a separate panel is bordered with rings or rollers. A low bench or cart ending in a spoked wheel is sketched at the lower right. A small doodled mark near the centre is not transcribed here.

Vertical screw press or jack on a stand
At the left a screw runs vertically through a cylindrical barrel mounted on a footed stand, its lower end tapering to a point over a base. The arrangement reads as a press or lifting jack driven by the turning of the screw.
Pegged frame and ring-bordered panel
In the centre a rectangular frame is studded with short pegs or teeth projecting from its sides, and toward the upper right a panel is bordered with a row of circles that suggest rings, rollers or pulleys. Both appear to be components of larger mechanisms.
Wheeled bench with a spoked wheel
At the lower right a low bench or cart carries planks and terminates in a many-spoked wheel or fan. The sketch is summary and its exact function is not spelled out.
