Fractional measures of the figure and face — chin, hand, foot, elbow and shoulders
Written with the sheet turned on its left side, this note sets out a canon of human proportions expressed as fractions of the whole figure and of the face. Chin to hairline is a tenth of the figure, chin to crown an eighth, the throat-pit to the crown a quarter, the foot a sixth, and the elbow and the width of the shoulders each a quarter. Faint architectural and landscape sketches, including rooftops among trees, appear at the left, and further untranscribed pencil work is present across the sheet.

A canon of proportions for the human figure
From the chin to the roots of the hair is a tenth of the whole figure, the same measure running from the wrist to the fingertip; chin to crown is an eighth, throat-pit to crown a quarter. The foot is a sixth, and the elbow and the shoulder-width each a quarter; the face divides in thirds among chin, nostrils, brow and hairline.
