A large screw-press dominates the sheet: a toothed disc turns a vertical screw set in a heavy timber frame standing over a table. The note beside it specifies that this screw must have two nuts, one below and one above. At the lower right a kneeling, draped figure is drawn with some finish, and small studies — a marked angle, a wedge, and a folded tablet on a pedestal — are scattered between machine and figure.
