Faint bell-hoisting and workshop mechanisms (verso, no text)
Restored verso bearing no writing: cranes, geared and screw devices, a balance and a workman
The verso of folio 1019, recovered by restoration and bearing no writing, is covered with faint mechanical sketches that echo the recto: bell-hoisting cranes beside a bell-tower, geared and screw mechanisms, work-benches, a balance rig and a stooping workman. Because the drawings were nearly invisible before conservation, they read only faintly.

Bell-hoisting cranes and geared devices
A crane at the upper left carries a hoist beside a bell-tower, and toward the centre appear geared wheels and a pulley or windlass arrangement of the kind used to raise a bell. The lines are pale, having been recovered by restoration.
Work-benches, a screw device and a workman
The lower half sketches trestled work-benches and a screw or press mechanism, with a balance rig at the left and a stooping figure bending over a device at the bottom centre.
Bell-tower (campanile)
A bell-tower is drawn at the left margin, matching the campanili of the recto and providing the setting for the hoisting machines.
