Military and mechanical studies with a psalm verse
A discharging bombard, small vessels, geared and screw mechanisms, with a Latin psalm verse in the left margin.
Only the Latin marginal verse is transcribed for this sheet; the rest of the page carries numerous untranscribed pen studies. Down the left margin Leonardo has written the opening of Psalm 6, 'Domine in furore tuo arguas me...'. The drawings include a bombard discharging across the top, small boats or vessels, a large circular geared-and-sprung mechanism at lower right, and screw-clamp devices at the lower left.

Latin psalm verse in the left margin
Written down the left margin is a Latin verse, the opening of Psalm 6, translated as 'Lord, rebuke me not in your fury, nor chastise me in your wrath.' It stands apart from the technical drawings as a devotional jotting.
Bombard discharging at the top of the sheet
Across the top runs a long-barrelled bombard shown firing, its muzzle spraying shot or flame to the left, mounted on a wheeled or trunnioned carriage. The gun is drawn but not described in the transcription.
Geared wheel and screw-clamp mechanisms
The lower half carries a large circular mechanism combining a toothed wheel with springs, together with screw-clamp devices at the lower left and further small fittings. These mechanical studies are untranscribed.
