Two Male Heads in Profile
Red and black chalk studies of youthful heads with abundant curly hair
Two fragments each carry a study of a young man's head in profile, facing left, drawn in red and black chalk with abundant curly hair. e-Leo records only that the fragments bear no writing of their own; faint columns of script visible on the upper fragment are show-through from the text on the recto, not transcribed here. Above the lower head are several small ancillary sketches.

Youthful head in profile, upper fragment (a)
The upper fragment shows an idealized young man's head in profile facing left, with a full crown of curling hair and a light beard, modeled in red and black chalk. Faint vertical columns of script beneath the neck are show-through from the recto rather than notes on this side.
Head with elaborate curls, lower fragment (b)
The lower fragment shows another young head in profile facing left, its hair worked into thick spiraling curls, with the face touched in red chalk. Several small sketches are grouped above the head.
