A carefully drawn elevation shows a two-storey structure whose levels are labelled 'first floor' at the top and 'second floor' lower down. The upper level carries a beam and an articulated arm ending in a tipping hopper or scoop; beneath a round-arched arcade on columns, cords descend to two drums, and at the base a large U-shaped tube curves round like a siphon. The Ambrosiana tags the leaf with geometrical studies on the superimposition of equal surfaces.

First floor of the structure
The upper level of the drawing is labelled 'first floor'. It carries the beam and mechanism above a cornice, set over the arcade below.
Second floor with round-arched arcade
A lower label reads 'second floor', set against a range of round arches carried on columns. The arcade forms the middle storey of the structure.
Hopper-arm mechanism and U-tube
On the top level an articulated arm ends in a tipping hopper or scoop above a beam. Cords fall to two drums between the arches, and a great U-shaped tube curves below the structure like a siphon.
