Mechanism with paired end-boxes and a central rocking arm

The sheet is dominated by a mechanical study in pen: a horizontal beam carries a box at each end, and a hinged arm drops from the middle of the beam to a box at the centre, suggesting a device that rocks or feeds material between the two ends. Below it, a large oval outline seen in plan — perhaps a basin, tank or hull — encloses a central rectangular block. The Codex Atlanticus catalogue tags the leaf with geometry, the relationship between an angle and its base. The only transcribed text is the single word 'Rusticano,' written in the lower-right corner.

Beam, end-boxes and central hinged arm
A horizontal beam spans the upper sheet with a box mounted at each end. From the middle of the beam a hinged arm drops to a box at the centre — the arrangement of a mechanism that rocks or transfers material between the two ends.
