Building-site machines: hoists, a screw press and a domed building

The sheet is filled with rapid sketches of a building site: houses and sheds, hoisting gear mounted on roofs, a large screw press or jack at the centre, scaffolding and a stair, and a domed, apsed building at the upper right. The bundle transcribes only a few brief annotations — a circle of numbers 1 to 11 with a note on its direction, and a pencil measurement of 6 braccia beside a door. Further untranscribed writing, including a line of mirror-script across the top, is visible on the sheet and is not given here.

Screw press or jack at the centre of the sheet
At the middle of the sheet stands a heavy screw-operated press or jack on a splayed base, drawn in darker ink than the surrounding sketches.
Hoisting gear mounted on a building
At the upper left a building carries a framed hoisting apparatus on its roof, apparently for lifting loads onto the structure. Similar framed lifting frames and cranes recur across the sheet.
Domed, apsed building
At the upper right is a small elevation of a domed building with an apse and arcaded lower storey.
A circle of numbers 1 to 11
Near the top the numbers 1 through 11 are arranged in a circle, with a separate note stating that it begins at 10 and goes toward 9.
