According to the catalogue caption, this verso — invisible before restoration — bears in pencil the profile of a young man of the "Salai type," with the upper part of the head cut off by the trimming of the sheet. In the image a faint, upturned face with curling hair is drawn at the right, the rest of the leaf left blank.

At the right of the otherwise blank sheet a young man's head is drawn in faint pencil, the face tilted upward and the hair falling in curls at the neck. The top of the head is lost where the sheet was trimmed. The catalogue caption identifies the sitter as of the "Salai type."
