A sparse text page continues Leonardo's craft recipes in mirror script. Two 'Fuoco' notes describe distilling the yellow skin of oranges at the alembic and producing a harmless celestial flash by sprinkling aquavite onto a red-hot copper or iron plate in a sealed room, then admitting a light. The closing 'Vernice' recipe makes an amber varnish by tapping a juniper for its liquor and mixing it with walnut oil, best prepared in May or April.
