Fortress towers, a radiating star, and conical forms
Pen-and-chalk sketches: round bastions on ramparts, a small arched casemate, and a row of bell- or mortar-like objects
This recto carries only sketches, with no accompanying transcription. In pen and red chalk it shows round masonry bastion-towers set on sloping ramparts, a small arched casemate at the upper right, and a large starburst of radiating lines near the top of the sheet. Along the lower edge runs a row of conical, fluted forms with wide flared skirts, several seen from below. As the sheet bears no transcribed text, these descriptions rest on the drawing alone.

Round bastion-towers on sloping ramparts
The middle of the sheet shows, in dark ink over red chalk, round masonry towers or bastions set on sloping ramparts, with an adjoining low structure. A large star of radiating red and black lines spreads across the upper part of the page.
Small arched casemate at the upper right
At the top right is a small built structure drawn in perspective, with an arched opening and a pole or beam extending from it. No caption identifies it.
Row of conical, fluted forms
Along the lower edge are several conical, fluted forms with wide flared or ribbed skirts, some shown in side view and some viewed from below as radiating circular bases. They resemble bell- or mortar-like objects, but the sheet gives no text to confirm their function.
