Folio 44r is filled with studies of pyramids and tetrahedra drawn in red chalk and pen, exploring their solid form and volume from many viewpoints. The single transcribed note argues that a pyramid raised on one side of a square-based pyramid, if of equal height, is half its volume. A pen sketch at the upper left shows a burst of radiating lines above a small spiral form. Further faint, untranscribed jottings appear scattered among the figures.

A pyramid built on one face of a square pyramid is half its volume
The note states that every pyramid made with its base upon one side of a pyramid of square base will be the half of that square pyramid, as the figure shows. The claim holds only on the condition that the two solids are of equal height.
