Contents of Part Three: Movements, Faces and Attitudes
Index continued: expression of the face, likeness, physiognomy and the proper actions of figures
A continuation of the index to the Third Part, listing chapters [279]-[301] under the running head 'Part.' The entries concern the movements and attitudes of man, the articulation of the limbs of men and animals, and the movements and 'airs' of the face. Later chapters address making a likeness in profile at a single glance, keeping a face in memory, the beauty of faces, physiognomy and chiromancy, and how every depicted movement must reveal the effect and the motion of the mind of the mover. No figures are drawn; the page is a handwritten list of chapter titles with folio references.

Movements, attitudes and the articulation of limbs
The list continues with the movements of man, with attitude and the movements of the limbs, the joints of the limbs, and the articulation (membrificazione) of the limbs of man and of animals. These chapters treat the disposition and action of the body for the painter.
The face: expression, likeness and beauty
A group of entries treats the face: the movements of the parts of the face, the movements of man in the face, the quality of the 'airs' of faces, making a human likeness in profile from a single glance, a way of keeping the form of a face in memory, and the beauty of faces. One chapter is listed on physiognomy and chiromancy (palmistry).
Actions of figures that reveal the mind
The lower entries turn to the actions of figures: placing the limbs, the actions of figures, and attitude. They insist that the movements of the limbs when depicting a man be proper actions, that every movement of a painted figure show its effect, and that proper movements reveal the motion of the mind of the mover.
