Universal versus particular light; the middle shadow
Headings 674 to 685 treat universal lights on polished bodies (675), the particular light of the sun or another luminous body (680), the universal light of the air where the sun does not strike (681), the middle shadow interposed between the lit and shadowed parts (683), and whether a large weak light equals a small strong one (684).
