Perspective Study of an Interior with an Oculus
A vaulted room drawn in perspective, a second oblique view, and a plotted polygon
The upper half of this recto shows a rectangular interior drawn in perspective: a room whose rear wall carries a central round opening, or oculus, with a pyramidal roof or lantern above and a tiled floor receding to the back, the side walls splayed open. A smaller repeat of the same space is drawn obliquely at the right, showing a raised platform or table, while a short ray diagram at the top-left plots converging sight-lines. Below the intervening mirror-script, none of it transcribed here, a many-sided polygon is laid out from radiating lines with its vertices marked by small crossbars. Further untranscribed writing runs beneath the drawings.

Interior with a central oculus and pyramidal lantern
A rectangular room is shown in one-point perspective, its rear wall pierced by a round opening and capped by a pyramidal roof or lantern, with the floor drawn as a receding grid and the side walls opened outward. A smaller version of the same interior is repeated at the right in an oblique view, including a raised platform or table. Together they study a built space and how it reads from different stations.
Converging sight-lines and the receding floor
A small diagram at the top-left plots straight lines converging to a single point, the scheme by which the tiled floor of the interior is made to recede. The floor grid and the splayed walls follow the same vanishing construction. This links the architectural view to a demonstration of linear perspective.
Polygon plotted from radiating lines
A many-sided closed polygon is built up in the lower half from lines radiating between marked points, its corners tagged with small crossbars. The construction resembles the plotting of a figure by intersecting straight lines. It sits apart from the architectural perspective above.
