The sheet is filled with many small diagrams of horizontal and inclined beams pivoting on supports, each carrying little circular weights at its ends, laid out in columns across the page. A long graduated bar runs along the lower right and an A-shaped frame with a diagonal brace appears at the bottom. These are studies of equilibrium, the balance and the lever; several short captions in Leonardo's mirror-writing and a block of text at the lower right are present but not transcribed here.
