Shadow within a Cylinder beneath a Luminous Arc
A fan-shaped light source over an upright cylinder threaded with crossing rays
A wide fan-shaped luminous body arcs across the upper sheet, with straight rays drawn from its two ends. Below it stands an upright cylinder through which the rays cross to form an internal shaded lattice. A line of mirror-script sits above the figure and a long block of prose runs beneath it; none of the writing is transcribed in the bundle, so further untranscribed text is present.

Fan-shaped luminous body over a cylinder
The light source is drawn as a broad fan or semicircular arc, with straight rays leaving its two ends and descending onto an upright cylinder placed below. The setup studies how an extended source lights a rounded standing body.
Crossing rays and internal shading of the cylinder
Straight lines from the arc cross inside the cylinder to form an internal lattice of shaded compartments. The construction works out geometrically where rays from different parts of the source overlap within the body's outline.
